Hey there, friends! Welcome to our blog progress report for my second month of blogging.

If you haven’t already, you can check out my very first monthly blog progress report.

I started this blog at the end of January 2024. And I began journaling my progress in February 2024.

Time sure flies too fast, and it’s already been two months since we started this journey together.

Before we dive in, I just want to give you a quick review of our annual blogging goals:

  • Write around 96 posts in the first year (8 posts per month or 2 posts per week).
  • Reach 10,000 page views monthly (SEO, Pinterest, Email List).
  • Make a net profit of $500 for my first year (affiliate marketing, ads, Etsy shop).

HERE’S MY BLOG PROGRESS REPORT FOR MY SECOND MONTH BLOGGING

Let’s dive straight into the numbers, shall we?

Below, you’ll find a detailed breakdown of our targets versus the actual blog progress made in March.

Description                Target             Actual

Blog Posts                       8                             10 ▲ 😁

Pageviews                       100                        22 (outside UAE) ▼🙁

Pinterest Followers       10                           1 ▼😊

Email Subscribers         5                             1 = 😐

Blog Posts

The goal is to publish 8 helpful blog posts throughout the month.

I’m happy to say that I surpassed this goal, posting a total of 10 articles packed with valuable tips for personal finance.

So far, we have published a total of 24 posts until March 2024 (equates to 25% of our target) which includes our progress report.

Pageviews

Growing an audience requires time and patience, and I’m thrilled to see some views from outside the UAE.

Although Google Analytics reported 324 pageviews in March, I suspect some of these are still from me checking my website.

To ensure accuracy, I removed views from my current country (UAE) and added the views I got from other countries.

Receiving 22 views isn’t bad, but it was a decline from the previous month. I hope that it will increase next month.

Pinterest Followers

I’m sad to say that I haven’t reached my target followers for this month, but we made progress.

Although the blog’s Pinterest presence is still in its early stages, I want to explore our reach on this exciting platform.

In addition to daily pinning, I’m focused on engaging with other users, utilizing relevant keywords, and participating in group boards to attract more followers.

I will also look into experimenting with different pin designs and descriptions to enhance visibility.

Email Subscribers

While my email subscriber count didn’t meet my goal for this month, I don’t lose heart.

I will focus on learning techniques on how to reach more people and sign them into my email list.

LESSONS LEARNED ON MY SECOND MONTH BLOGGING

Perseverance.

I often need to remind myself to keep pushing and trusting the process. I sometimes tend to be discouraged especially when I don’t see any results in the efforts I put in.

Consistency.

I should remain consistent even when it feels tough (as a full-time employee) and unmotivated.

I ought to honor my commitment by consistently showing up as promised.

Helping my audience.

Provide value to my audience when crafting content.

It’s important to empathize with my audience to truly grasp their needs, preferences, and interests.

Look for Guest Post Opportunities.

I should start reaching out to other bloggers to create a post on their site.

It is important to build relationships and networks in the blogging community. We need each other to learn and succeed in this industry.

CONCLUSION

As we wrap up our second month together, I’m thrilled by the progress made on my financial blogging journey!

I exceeded my goal of 8 posts, hitting 10 articles.

While most of my goals were not reached, I am confident that somehow it will progress in the coming months. It is the learning process that is important.

With your unwavering support and relentless dedication, I’m confident that the best is yet to come.
